Mission and Vision

The vision of the Alliance for Electrical Engineering & Informatics (the Alliance) is to define and implement a common and long-term strategy in the fields of electrical engineering, informatics, and cybernetics, and to be among the world leaders in their areas of excellence, both in R&D and educational activities. In cooperation with national governments and the above-mentioned partners, the Alliance aims to secure resources for its members to successfully fulfill this vision. Another goal of the Alliance is to ensure the necessary human resources for the application sphere, which are critically lacking now and in the near future—without which the industrial sector will face serious existential problems.

Objectives

Through unified representation, a clear and comprehensible interface, effective coordination of our resources, and the combined efforts of all members, we support and develop:

• high-quality technical education and systematic motivation to study the aforementioned disciplines,
• internationally recognized creative activity and significant technological innovations,
• strategic cooperation with industry and our partners,
• active communication with governmental, public, and private institutions and society at large.

The E&I Alliance is a platform that represents the common interests and direction of its members in the fields of education, research, and innovation.

History and Foundation Rationale

The E&I Alliance was established in 2024 in response to the critical need to strengthen technical education and research capacities in the fields of electrical engineering, informatics, and cybernetics in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

Selected Activities

Promotion and Support of Technical Education

Through coordinated activities, we motivate students to enroll in study programs in electrical engineering, informatics, and cybernetics.

In cooperation with partners, we provide the conditions and resources for technical education. We work closely with governmental bodies (especially the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Industry and Trade), regional authorities (regions, cities), and public as well as private partners.

Cooperation with Industry

We foster links between academic institutions and industrial partners. We create an environment that supports applied research, innovation, and technological development.

We closely collaborate with key associations such as the Confederation of Industry and the Chamber of Commerce.

Research and Development

By concentrating the capacities and expertise of Alliance members, we enhance excellence in science and research. We support joint projects and the sharing of technological and knowledge resources among our members.
